I have the honor to great You and to inform You that the FEZ “Ungheni – Business” has a favorable geographical location, being situated in the West-Central part of the Republic of Moldova, at the border with Romania, forming a window to Europe, which offers a great investment platform with business opportunities aimed at EU. The Free Economic Zone “Ungheni – Business” is at the cross road of the most important linking routs of Romania, CIS and European countries, with which Moldova has signed free trade agreements. Ungheni is an important hub of railways and customs posts (there is Sculeni customs post and Ungheni-Cristeşti railway customs post).

Administration of FEZ ”Ungheni-Business”, hereinafter referred to as the Administration, is a state body founded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, with the status of legal entity, which carries out its activity basing on the principles of self-financing.
The Administration is governed by the Chief Administrator assigned by the Government of the RM.
Chief Administrator elaborates plans and programs on advanced development of free zone and approves these, after coordination of all their social and ecologic aspects, as well as those of extension of infrastructure of the free zone with authorities of local public administration, Ministry of Economy, and in case of necessity - with residents.

iThe Town of Ungheni is situated on the western border in the central region of Moldova. On the border of the town flows the Prut River, where the border between Moldova and Romania is located. A customs crossing is located in the town near a bridge over the Prut River. The land area of Ungheni is 1643 hectares and the population is recorded at 43 000 people.

Several of the main highways to major cities run through or near Ungheni, including those to Chisinau, Balti and Romania. The network of roads ensures permanent access year-round to communities within the district of Ungheni, as well as other commercial centers in Moldova. All the industrial objects of FEZ and its service subdivisions are connected through highways.

FEZ "Ungheni-Business" was created on the basis of some large industrial enterprises, developing their activities on the basis of the following existing infrastructure:
